These terms cover work you buy from Digital Blind Spots LLC ("we", "us"), a limited liability company in Wake County, North Carolina. Buying an audit, an implementation engagement, or a monthly retainer means these terms apply. If we sign a separate written agreement with you — as we do for retainers and implementation work — that agreement wins wherever the two disagree.

1. What an audit is

An audit is a diagnosis. We examine your website the way a customer experiences it, using a combination of an automated crawl, hands-on human review, and AI-assisted analysis of your site's code and copy. You receive a written report with findings ranked P1, P2 and P3, a set of quick wins, an estimate of what each finding may be costing you, and a recorded walkthrough. An optional review call is included.

An audit is not a redesign, a rebuild, a marketing campaign, an SEO engagement, a legal or accessibility compliance certification, or a guarantee that your website will perform better. What we sell is an accurate, evidenced picture of where your site is losing people, and a prioritised list of what to do about it.

What we look at

For the audit tiers, we work entirely from the public-facing version of your website. We do not ask for and do not want a login. If you buy an engagement where we implement fixes, we request limited editor access at that stage only, scoped to the pages in your agreement.

2. Findings, confidence, and the limits of the tool

We report what we actually observed, and we label how confident we are in each finding. Anything our tool could not confirm is reported separately as needing manual verification — it is never presented as a confirmed problem. Automated accessibility scanning catches a meaningful subset of accessibility issues, not all of them, and we say so in every report that contains it.

We audit a defined set of pages, stated in your report. We do not claim to have examined pages we did not visit, and every report lists what was not audited.

3. Revenue estimates are estimates

Read this one. The dollar figures in your report are estimates, not predictions, guarantees, or promises of results. They are built from industry benchmark conversion rates combined with information you give us about your business, and every estimate shows its inputs and assumptions so you can judge it yourself. Your actual results depend on your market, your pricing, your competition, your traffic, and what you choose to implement — most of which is outside our control. Nothing in a report, a proposal, a call, or on this website is a guarantee of any financial outcome.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any applicable tax.

5. Turnaround

If we're going to miss one of these, we'll tell you before the deadline, not after.

6. Refunds

All sales are final. An audit is hours of real work performed specifically on your website, and it is delivered in full before you would have grounds to evaluate it.

That is not the whole story, though. If you believe a finding was missed, or the report you received doesn't match what was described when you bought it, email us and we will make it right — by re-running the analysis, supplementing the report with the missing work, or crediting the amount against other work, at our discretion and in consultation with you. We would rather fix the work than argue about it.

7. If we don't find anything significant

You get that confirmed in writing, with a prioritised list of the minor improvements we did find, and you may apply what you paid for the audit toward a retainer. In our experience most small business websites turn up at least one significant finding, but if yours doesn't, we say so plainly rather than inflating something to justify the invoice.

8. Implementation work

Where we implement changes on your site:

9. Retainers

Monthly retainers run on a 6-month minimum commitment. The first three months establish your data baseline; the next three show whether the changes are working. After the minimum, the retainer continues month to month and either of us can end it with 30 days' notice. Ending it inside the first six months carries a one-month early exit fee at your tier rate.

Retainers require read-only access to your Google Analytics, used solely to produce your Scorecard and revoked when the retainer ends. A separate written retainer agreement sets out the full terms, and that agreement governs.

10. Your responsibilities

11. Who owns what

Your report is yours. Once paid, you may use it however you like — implement it yourself, hand it to your developer, share it with your team or your agency.

Our method is ours. The Digital Blind Spots Method™, our audit tooling, templates, scoring approach and report structure remain our property. Buying a report doesn't license you to resell our method or reproduce our templates as your own product.

We won't use your name without asking. We do not publish your business name, screenshots of your site, or your results as a case study or testimonial without your written permission, given separately from these terms.

12. Confidentiality

Anything non-public you tell us about your business — revenue, traffic, pricing, plans — stays between us. We use it to do your work and for nothing else.

13. Limits on our liability

We provide our work with reasonable skill and care. Beyond that, and to the fullest extent the law allows:

Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

14. Ending the relationship

Either of us can decline future work at any time. We may end an engagement, refunding any unearned portion, if we can't get the access or information we need to do the work, or if a working relationship stops being workable. Anything already delivered stays yours.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts serving Wake County, North Carolina. Before anyone files anything, we'd ask you to email us — nearly everything is fixable in a conversation.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force for your engagement is the one published when you bought it. Material changes affecting active clients are emailed, not quietly published.
